The Word of God says in Psalm 147:2-3,
“The LORD…gathers together the outcasts…
He heals the brokenhearted,
And binds up their wounds.”
Throughout the years, many people have come to Open Door Worship Center brokenhearted at the way they had been rejected by family, friends, and sadly, the church in which they grew up.
But by sound Biblical teaching, prayerful and emotional support, and much unconditional love and affirmation, we have had the blessing of witnessing many of them overcome the fears, feelings of rejection and abandonment, and sense of hopelessness with which they first came through our doors.
Prophesying the wonderful works that Christ Jesus would do by the Holy Spirit, the Word of God says in Isaiah 61:1,
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”
It is our prayer that every person who takes the time to browse this website, follow its links, and take the opportunity to visit with us will find the same healing power that Christ Jesus has afforded many others throughout the years.
As the lyrics of the old gospel song so eloquently put it, “It is no secret what God can do. What He’s done for others, He’ll do for you.”
