About Our Church

We are an Open Door, Conservative-Liberal Church.

It’s not an oxymoron! It simply means that we adhere to the Absolute Truth of Scripture and its values, but without the prejudice and discrimination so prevalent in churches that also claim to hold such values. As do most “progressive” religious entities, WE CELEBRATE DIVERSITY! We welcome and affirm ALL who peacefully come to worship the Living God, with absolutely NO DISCRIMINATION. But unlike many of these entities, we maintain that, “all Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16), that it was inerrant in its original form, and that it must still be the rule of our faith and practice today.

The New Testament plainly declares that, “There is NO condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:28). The problem is that the Bible has been misinterpreted over time, and such has resulted in the alienation of people whom God created to be who and what they are. So although misinterpreted with regard to its inclusiveness, we reject the notion that Scripture should be made culpable, discredited, or disregarded whole or in part, in order to avoid discomfort.

Finally, we are a church that ministers to human souls, i.e. to ALL people who come in peace, regardless of who they are, what they are, or where they came from. Therefore, we do not make use of the many—and increasing—letters of the alphabet soup that only serve to label people and point out our differences rather than our commonality.

All of the above is what we mean when we say, We are a Conservative-Liberal Church: Conservative in our beliefs…Liberal in our Open & Affirming Love!
